FAA Automatically Grants  "blanket" COA'S - As of March 23, 2015, the FAA will automatically grant "blanket" COA's for flights at or below 200 feet to any UAS operator with a Section 333 exemption, provided the aircraft weighs less than 55 pounds, operations are conducted during daytime Visual Flight Rules (VFR) conditions and within visual line of sight (VLOS) of the pilots, and stay certain distances away from airports or heliports.

FAA Grants UAV Permits for Agriculture & Real Estate Companies - The Associated Press reports that on Tuesday, the FAA issued exceptions to the commercial UAV ban, permitting the monitoring of crops and real estate use for aerial photographs of properties for sale. This is the first time permits have been granted to agriculture and real estate companies.


FAA Poised to Include Limitations on Hobbyist UAVs - The FAA is proposing to amend its regulations to adopt specific rules for the operation of small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the National Airspace System (NAS).

Section 1 – Overview of Pricing

HSE represents the leader in the manufacturing of ‘Industrial Strength’ Unmanned Aeronautical Vehicle (UAV) Helicopters and has been designing and building these type of units for more than 30 years. HSE has dedicated research and development that includes battery, airframe and autopilot designs. HSE uses stricter manufacturing standards and tolerances than Hobby shop based RC units. The result is the highest quality ‘Industrial’ strength helicopter and integrated Autopilot system on the market today.

ITAR Policy

It is the policy of HSE to adhere strictly to all U.S. laws and regulations covering the export, re-export, and import of Defense related articles, technical data, and services. Such laws and regulations include, but are not limited to, the Export Administration Act of 1979, as amended (50 U.S.C.), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce), the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) (22 U.S.C. 2778), and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 C.F.R.) (Administered by the U.S. Department of State). Further, HSE adheres to additional restrictions on exports and re-exports contained in various country-specific regulations administered by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). HSE offers ITAR licensing as a SEPARATE FEE and can be discussed with HSE.


Section 2 – Services

Shop Services

Tune-ups, overhauls and recertification’s (rebuilds) of HSE Helicopter units are completed at our production shop. Field work or pickup can be completed using the shop and travel rates listed below. Shop labor is charged at the rate of $85.00 an hour. Travel time is billed at one half (½) the normal hourly rate and $0.40 cents a mile.

Warranty

Due to the nature of industrial robotic helicopters HSE does not offer warrantees for our machines. HSE flight tests each aircraft under load conditions and certifies all aspects of the Helicopter including the Autopilot, remote Telemetry and any custom payloads before delivery.

Pricing

We strive to hold the prices of parts and assemblies as steady as we can, but, on HSE reserves the right to modify prices based upon ‘Market Pricing’ and availability at any time. Please check with us for any changes when ordering.

Export Fees: In order to export equipment, HSE must Charge +10% on top of the DEALER price to pay for State Department and export taxes and fees

Missions: RC Photography and First Responder mission requirements

Users: Beginner R/C Pilots and Intermediate PC Users. The autopilot is integrated with the HSE helicopter and handles all functions of flight to allow the HSE vehicle to fly entirely autonomously with simple input from the wireless radio. The software allows the RDASS to fly in dual modes including ‘Sticks Mode’ and (Optional) ground station mode with GPS based waypoints. This system offers the ability to configure lost communication and automated landing functions. This system is ideal for medium range up to 1 mile ground station operations and missions that require fast deployment and portable surveillance perimeters and light camera payloads.

System Elements

        (1) Electric RDASS Helicopter : Assembled and Tested : 4 Motors, airframe with modular quick connect wiring, speed Controllers, LED for GPS and vehicle information, 4 rotor blades, Landing gear, fuselage with quick connect for batteries and (optional) stabilized gimbal. Flight Testing of entire package

        (1) Autopilot: Integrated autopilot with capability for Ground station software (Optional item) and ability to fly in ‘Sticks’ mode. Fully Stabilized flight with GPS and altitude hold, Semi-stabilized flight, and auto-return. Standard L1 GPS communication and flight hold

Standard Ground Station Software and Communication Kit:

Missions: Simple Waypoint control of the RDASS Q1000

Users: This software is iOS version v6.0 compatible and offers real time system monitoring of all aspects of the helicopter and ground station. This package includes both the software and the Ground Station unit communications box. The software allows the RDASS to fly in dual modes including ‘Sticks Mode’ and full ground station mode: with waypoint setting, 50 GPS based waypoints, hover waypoints, orbit waypoints, auto-takeoff, auto landing, and configurable Max/min altitudes. This system offers the ability to configure lost communication and automated landing functions. The system includes a 2 hour backup battery unit. This system is ideal for medium range with 1 mile ground station operations.

        (1) Ground Station Software: iOS v6.0 station software (Standard Edition). Software enables features on the autopilot.

        (1) 900 MGHz Communication : (SINGLE CHANNEL)Transmitter/Receiver with (1) rubber duck antennae

Camera Mount – Gyro Stabilized

Description:

The gimbal is specifically designed for Hero 3 camera integration. The system offers 3 axis gyro camera stabilization and allows for a smooth camera angle regardless of the helicopter angle. The integration allows for video out and the ability to Pan the camera directly from the JR radio.

        (1) 4 point Frame Mount: Integrated frame mount for camera and controller

Silver Maintenance : This program is the recommended support for our customers that utilize the helicopter 500 - 1,000 flight hours and less and may include the following
